Statutory Registers

 The statutory registers of a company are those that are required to be kept according to the Companies Act 2006 and form part of the company records. These include:-

• Register of members;
• Register of directors;
• Register of directors’ residential addresses;
• Register of secretaries;
• Register of debenture holders;
• Register of interests in shares disclosed to public company into interests in its shares; and
• Register of mortgages and charges.

 There are also other registers which a company may choose to maintain, such as the Register of allotments and the Register of transfers, for ease of reference. 

The statutory registers should be kept at the registered office of the company unless otherwise notified.
