Legalisation

Legalisation is the official confirmation that a signature, seal or stamp on a document is genuine. By having a document legalised it does not mean that its contents are accurate.  Legalisation is the authentication by the embassy or consulate, located in the country of the notary public, of the country in which the document is to be used.
